John Towner Williams
John Towner Williams is an American composer and conductor. In a career spanning six decades, Williams has composed many of the most famous soundtracks in film history as Jaws, ET: The Alien, Superman, the film saga Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, Memoirs of a Geisha, Harry Potter, Artificial Intelligence and many others. He has also done musical compositions for various Olympic Games, numerous television series and several concert pieces. Williams received the Oscar of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood five times and is credited with 48 nominations. It is one of the most celebrated composers of film music.
He was born on February 8, 1932 in Floral Park, New York. He is the eldest son of Esther and John Williams, and has two brothers and one sister. His father was a jazz drummer who played with the legendary Raymond Scott Quintet. In 1948, the Williams family moved to Los Angeles; there, John Williams attended North Hollywood High School, an institution where he graduated in 1950. He then moved to the University of California, where he studied piano and composition. In 1952, he was drafted into the United States Air Force, where he arranged and conducted music for the band Air Force, as part of their duties.
When his military service ended in 1955, Williams moved to New York City and entered the Juilliard School. In 1960 he was hired by Columbia Records as a pianist and composer, where numerous albums he made with composer André Previn German origin.
Williams was married to actress Barbara Ruick from 1956 until her death from intracranial hemorrhage, March 3, 1974. Together they had three children. He married a second time with Samantha Winslow, his current wife, who lives in the city of Boston
E,T The Alien
It is co-produced and directed by Steven Spielberg American science fiction film 1982, whose soundtrack was the work of John. Tells the story of Elliot, a lonely boy who befriends an alien called ET, who is left on Earth. Elliott and his brothers help the alien return to its home, while trying to keep hidden from his mother and government.
The film, distributed by Universal Pictures, was a blockbuster, surpassing Star Wars, becoming the highest grossing film of all time, a record he held for ten years.

John Williams composed a score that moves through three dramatic levels:
1. Subjects who set the unknown and scenes of dialogue.
2. The themes that express feelings about the friendship between Elliot and ET
3. Items that refer to magic and fantasy.
The New Yorker won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA and three Grammys for the work you did in this movie.

Star Wars
His music is all composed almost entirely of John Williams orchestral and musical themes.
Williams orchestration is based on a varied and eclectic mix of styles, among which influence Late Romanticism.
The orchestrations of all movies, like many others Williams compositions were performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.

 



Close Encounters of Third Phase
It is a science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg.
It tells the story of a repair power lines who changes his life trasver a UFO, which is aware of the US government. Steven in this film, offered a new approach to traditional film aliens. For the 1st time the aliens were friendlies peaceful.
John Williams has more than one year to create the soundtrack. The key argument of this film is the little tune of 5 notes, as this appears as a vehicle of communication.
